Devon Hardie Joins the Southern Alberta Mustangs as Assistant Coach and Goalie Coach

The Southern Alberta Mustangs Junior Hockey Team is proud to announce the addition of Devon Hardie as our Assistant Coach and Goalie Coach for the upcoming season.

Devon brings a wealth of experience both on and off the ice. His coaching journey began in 2008 when he volunteered with a U-11 minor hockey team, focusing on developing young goaltenders. Over the following seasons, his reputation grew, working with goalies throughout the association and in surrounding communities.

Recognizing the need for accessible, high-quality goalie training, Devon founded Saga Goaltending Academy in 2018. With over 22 years of experience as a goaltender and more than a decade of coaching expertise, he built the academy on a mission of providing affordable, specialized training — a commitment that continues today. Devon has also worked alongside professional goaltenders and coaches, refining his techniques and passing that knowledge on to his students.

As Assistant Coach and Goalie Coach for the Mustangs, Devon will bring his passion for the position, dedication to player development, and proven success in building strong, confident goaltenders.

We are thrilled to welcome him to the Mustangs family and look forward to an exciting season ahead.
